Mission Impossible = Fantastic 4

Inter Milano 0, Liverpool 1

Fernando Torres scored the lone end of the game to set Liverpool through to the quarter-final of the champions' conference at the disbursal of Inter Milan.

From the beginning, Inter knew it would be an almost impossible undertaking to turn over a 2 ends shortage whilst Liverpool were looking to be the 4th English squad in the quarter-finals of this year's champions' league.

Liverpool's undertaking was made easier with the squad set out by Roberto Mancini as inexplicably decided to play Esteban Cambiasso, Dejan Stankovic, Saint Patrick Vieira and Javier Zanetti in the midfield significance there was no breadth or any kind of creativeness whatsoever in a game they had to win.

And that was how the game panned out with Inter struggling to make clear cut opportunities and Liverpool happy to sit down back and hit them on the break. If not for some mediocre drama and determination devising by Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel, Liverpool would have got got been ahead in the 1st one-half as Inter Milan's improvised dorsum four contrived to be devising schoolboy mistakes at the back.

At the other end Julio Cruz was cachexia Inter's best opportunities with mediocre determination making as he could easily have rolled the ball to Stankovic but he decided to hit broad even if earlier he brought out a good save out of Beppe Reina.

All the corner boots and free boots Inter were given were totally wasted by Inter especially Christian Chivu, a participant I personally believe is grossly overrated.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic did his usual vanishing enactment in a large lucifer as he was again atrocious masking flicks and fast ones with his mediocre finishing and general laziness.

The referee that had a good 1st one-half keeping his card game in his pocket then decided to take Centre phase in the 2nd one-half with a quite stupendous decision. Nicola Burdisso who had been booked earlier in the 1st one-half went for a high ball with George Lucas whose ft was also high and for some ground that lone the referee would understand and decided to give him a 2nd yellowness card to direct him off.

This made Inter's opportunity even bleaker and the coup d'etat de saving grace was achieved by the best finisher on the field Fernando Torres as he was just onside for Fabio Aurellio's cross and hit the ball on the bend with Chivu turning his dorsum on the ball for the winner.

Roberto Mancini for some ground decided not to do any alterations until about 20 proceedings to travel and then he conveys on Pele for the very mediocre Vieira. As a director he have got a immense inquiry grade against his name as in Italian Republic it is thought that refs have helped his cause this season whilst last season he was aided by the football game scandal.

He did show tonight though that he is not 1 of the world's top directors by any agency and have been establish to be quite awkward when he have to do the large decisions. His starting 11 left a batch to be desired considering the undertaking facing his side and for him not to change it when it looked like Vieira was just a rider on the field was just lamentable.

There you have got it 4 premiership squads in the living quarters and for the 1st clip in the history of the champions' league, 1 state supplies 4 teams.

So what started as missionary post impossible for Inter turned out to be antic 4 for the premiership.
